Saturday Ramblings

Well I'm pretty proud that I have written a few days in a row. I know I don't have a very exciting life, but it is nice to keep a journal to look back on. Last night was the best night of sleep that I have had all week. My husband and I watched some Law & Order season 1 episodes and then he let me watch Ghost Adventures. I appreciate that he puts up with watching some shows I know he could care less about. Well it that time of year again where the shanties go on the lake in the hunt for the sturgeon. I am wishing my family and friends the best of luck and hopefully someone will spear one this year. My family this has always been a big tradition. I wish I was out there but one I don't have a license this year and two my foot is still in a boot and I don't have much balance yet. I am hoping one year I will be able to get my husband out on the lake to experience this tradition. I know that I first have to help him get over his fear of water. He is doing very well but I'm sure it will be awhile before he feels safe enough to want to do that. I told him if he ever wants to I would be happy to teach him to swim or help him enroll into some swimming classes. I remember my first encounter with a sturgeon. My dad had speared one and I was probably 7 or 8 years old and I was screaming that it was a shark. He got a good laugh out of it and I remember being so proud of him and telling everyone about it at school. It is also Valentine's Day weekend. Right now we don't have the finances to do anything really special, but I told my husband just spending time with him was special enough for me. So I'm sure we will be watching some movies and just relaxing. I wouldn't be surprised if he make a special dessert. He decided to work some overtime today so it will be nice to have a little extra money. So I believe that is all I have to write.

can't sleep why not blog

Well this was suppose to be written at 4:23am this morning but for some reason my phone wasn't working with me. Well this was the second night that I hadn't slept well. I was up at 2:30 till 5:30. I had started to toss and turn at 11pm already.The pain reliever I have been taking for my foot just isn't helping at night. So let's hope that tonight is a better night. It was nice that my husband and I were able to sit down and watch some law and order seasons together. I have been trying all day to get paper work faxed to my disability agent, but their phone lines have been going in and out and I seem to always fax when the lines are down. So they just told me to try again Monday. I hope by then the problem will be fixed. Our cats have been pretty good today and not causing too much trouble. I really don't have anything else to talk about. So I will close for now

I haven't blogged in a long time

Well lots has been going on in my life. Since I have last written I have been married. This was the happiest day of my life. My husband and I have been looking at houses and have been trying to start a family. I have been off of work now for 2 months due to injury. I tore my fascia and they found a stress fracture in my foot as well three weeks ago. Yesterday I finally got my cast off and didn't have a new one put on. I'm so happy that it is off. The time has given me the time I needed to get back into books and a new found fondness for netflix ha ha. Last night was one of the worst nights with sleeping. My foot hurt so bad. The tossing and turning didn't help at all either. I took a long bath tonight and it felt amazing. You really start to value a shower or a bath once you can't take one because of a cast. Sponge baths are just not the same. My husband has a new job since the last time I wrote as well and he really enjoys it. I have been so blessed to have a husband like him. He has been doing all of the work around the house since my doctor didn't want me to walk to much when I was in the cast. I haven't heard him complain once and I just don't know how I will ever thank him enough. He was even sweet enough to shave my one leg because he knew I was feeling bad about it being hairy. I know it seems silly. He told me he didn't mind and I actually believe it bothered me more than it did him. He also has been working on all kinds of desserts. He is just becoming an amazing baker. My family is always asking what he will be bring for a family get together. He made black forest delight and some cookies for Christmas and by the end of the night they were all gone. It's so nice to see how happy he is when people are enjoying his desserts. I would have to say the other best thing that has happen since I last wrote was my husband reconnecting with his father and family. It happened on Christmas day. He hadn't talk to his father since high school and was worried about how things ended and that his dad would still be mad at him. I and his step sister told him it would not matter. His father and family was so happy to see him. It seemed like they have not been any time lost. We have done more get together since. He looks so much like his dad and they are so similar they could be twins. They also welcomed me with open arms and that was so nice. I think that is for now. I will be trying to write on a more regular basis.

I will be married in 7 days!!!

I can't believe how fast these last six months have gone. I remember it like yesterday that I was complaining how far away the wedding was and before I knew here it is. I am so excited! I can't wait to marry my soulmate and my best friend. I feel very lucky to have Chase. He is an amazing man and person. I can't wait to continue our life together and to start a family. I feel like I still have so much to do before we leave for Vegas. I have almost everything packed in my luggage. That is a good thing. I also have almost the whole apartment cleaned since my parents are staying with us the night before we leave. Tomorrow I hope to finish the cleaning and then go shopping for some last needed items. I also am excited because the people I work with are going to throw me a party on Sunday for my upcoming wedding. I am so surprised that they are going to. Also it is so sweet that they would think of Chase and I. Chase's mother is also going to try to make it to Vegas. I really hope she does. I think it will be wonderful and we will have a lot of fun with her. I have so many things in my head on what I want to do in Vegas, but I know we probably won't get to do everything. I guess it will make a good excuse to go back again. I also promised Chase that one of the days we will do what he wants all day as his birthday gift from me since I had to work on his original birthday. He was so sweet about it and I felt terrible because I have never worked on his birthday nor not had the money for a gift. He told me it was just nice to spend time together. Like I said I am truly lucky and blessed to have him. I hope I can be just a great wife as he will be a great husband. Well I'm off for now to finish some more things before I have to go to work.

1 month till I get married

I am so excited that in a month I will be Mrs. Harvey. It has a nice ring to it doesn't. I am extremely happy. I am also sad though I just found out that my Maid of Honor will not be able to be at my wedding. I can't be upset because I know the situation, but it doesn't mean I'm still not sad. I also don't know if my fiancce's family will make the wedding either. I feel bad because I know it means a lot to him to have them there. I try to stay positive knowing that this is a day the both of us have waited for a long time. I also know that as long as the two of us are there that is all that matters. I feel very lucky that my family is doing so much to make sure that we have a great wedding. It brings me great joy to know that they care for my fiancee just as much as I do. I also am really excited because my bridal shower is this weekend. I think it will be a great time. My mom had to plan most of the shower because my maid of honor was going to able to make it, but she did get all the games ready which made my mom happy. She really isn't into games at showers, but I told her now she doesn't have to play since she is running it. Also I'm so lucky because she is cooking most of the food and some of my family is bringing the rest. She has been the best just being there for me when things weren't working out she would remind me that god would let everything work out. My fiancee has also been a very big rock to me threw all the stresses so far. Also my fiancee is being so nice that he is going to take pictures of the bridal shower for me. I also thought it would be nice for him to work on his photography skills since he wants to open a photography studio some day. Well I think that is all that I can write for today. Also I hope to write more on the blog. I have been very busy so I haven't blog as much as I have wanted to.

First Post

Well this is my first post and I'm sure it will be short. I use to be a lurker I guess you could say reading other people blog's and amazed with all they could share. I thought why can't I. I know sometimes I'm sure I'll be sounding like I'm rambling more than writing. Well as of now most of my blog will talk about wedding stuff since I am going to be married on May 6th. I'm so excited.
